Welcome Dutch Team

The Group Study Exchange Team from District 1580 arrived in Melbourne on Friday 23rd February: team leader Greet, Marloes, Peter, Mariska and Esther.

Our team met them for the first time at their Welcome Dinner at Kew Golf Club. They have raised our expectations for the trip. Our Dutch is still very sketchy but we are reassured that most Dutch people speak very good English. We tried some Dutch licorice and chocolate. I think we all preferred the chocolate.

Our first presentation - Glen Eira

Tonight we dressed in our uniforms for the first time and spoke as a team at our first Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of Glen Eira.

The club asked us some tough questions, wished us well, and gave us a good starting point. First tip to remember: speak slower!
